Should Princess Leia Be Official?

In a galaxy far far away lived the lovely and brave princess of Alderaan. Carrie Fisher, our beloved princess has passed on. Should we make Princess Leia an official Disney princess? most definitely! there are thousands of reasons, but I will choose the main ones Disney should consider. First, before I begin listing the reasons I would like to address this one thing. There seem to be certain rules to be a Disney princess. they have to apply at least one to three of these.

1. you must be in an animated movie.

2. you can't be introduced in a sequel.

3. you must be of royal descent or married into royalty.

4. or you did a tremendous act of heroism (Mulan's exception)

5. Had good box office standing. (unfortunately)

First of all, yes she isn't in an animated movie. However, she does apply to other ones. Leia applies to number two, she wasn't introduced in a sequel. A New Hope was the first movie made so technically she was introduced in the first one. Second, she applies to number three. She was born royal. Her mother is Padme a.k.a Queen Amidala, so technically she is kinda a double princess, she was adopted to the king and queen of Alderaan but truly born from the queen of Naboo. Third, she applies to the act of heroism. She was the leader of the rebellion against the separatists and ended up helping Luke save the galaxy from the dark side of the force. Lastly, she applies to box office success, she outranks even the ever popular frozen. Star Wars beats frozen by a landslide with total box office showings of the movies and with merchandise. $825,000,000 for licensing, $4,500,000 just for star wars television series, $975,000,000 for merchandise, $3,400,000,000 for video games, 12,242,000,000 just for toys and memorabilia. $6,377,856,373 total box office movie for all movies including newer versions. $12.47 billion for frozen. Why not make her a princess?

Leia is the ultimate princess. In "A New Hope" she got kidnapped by Vader and her planet got destroyed. Did she sit around and cry about it? well, she did cry at first but she didn't stay down and wait for something to happen. Like the "Typical Disney Princess", as some people call it. This means, she just sits around, cries, and waits for prince charming to save her. she did get rescued from her cell in the beginning, but she helped the fight out of the ship. She commands an army of rebels, and she does so successfully. She is also sassy and sarcastic, and we love her for it! She never lets people push her around, she makes her own luck.

One other thing I thought was awesome is she did her own fighting, maybe not to the extent of the Jedi but she could defend herself. Second, she is smart. In return of the Jedi snuck into Jabba the Hut's lair to rescue Han. She disguised herself as a bounty hunter bringing chewy in so she had his muscle. she successfully speaks the language that the wearer of her costume usually spoke and tricked Jabba. She freed Han from the carbonite. However, she got caught by Jabba becoming captured too. Which is ok, it gives luke a chance to come in and save the day. Which is fine by me. Sure after captured Jabba makes her wear her slave outfit, but she then ends up killing him by herself!

Leia is as beautiful as she is smart. Since Carrie Fisher died, this would be a great way to honor her. In my opinion. But those are the reasons I think that Leia should be an Official Disney Princess.

Should Kida Be An Official Princess?

For 17 years now, Atlantis has touched the hearts and imaginations of Disney fans. One character stood out the most, the princess of Atlantis Kida or Kidagakash. We fans have wanted Kidagakash to become an official Disney Princess. So the question is, should Kida become an official Disney princess? There are a few points I'd like to make to prove my point. Kindness kida in her whole on the screen has been nothing but kind to the Atlantians as well as people outside of her culture. she does everything in her power to protect her people and keep them thriving as a culture. she is the exact description of a princess and the kindness she should have. Brave Same as Merida, she is brave in all of her endeavors. Even in one scene, she kicks some butt when the mercenaries attacked her, she could have died. Independent Just like Merida, Jasmin, Tiana, etc. She is independent and can handle things herself. She is a warrior, a princess, and a survivor. Does she fit the criteria Disney require
