Incredibles 2 Review

its too late! 15 years too late! well almost 15 years. technically we have been waiting for 14 years. our favorite family of supers "the incredibles" came out november of 2004.

I remember seeing "the incredibles" in the theaters when it first came out. I was 9 years old and hanging out with my friend at the time. we were having a sleep over and her dad fed us pizza and brought us to the movies. I remember it like it was yesterday. I miss being a child sometimes.

so since we have waited so long to watch this movie, and you guys have waited so long for this review ill go ahead and get to it!

Non-spoiler review

I watched "the incredibles 2" the month it came out so I do apologize that this is late. just wanted to mention that before i begin.

The incredibles 2 was most certainly incredible! pun intended. I went to the cinetopia with my little brother and my best friend. we went to dinner and we had froyo we were set. the anticipation was intense. There are so many things id like to talk about this movie.

story

I would like to talk about the story. the story is great! typically its about after the underminer appeared in the first movie. this millionaire confronts the supers and proposes to restart the supers program.

the staff who worked on this movie did so well creating such a dynamic and fitting story for the world of "the incredibles". I think this brought so much more to the world and its interresting. I honestly cant wait to start theorizing on the new information we recieve in this movie.

the incredibles two adds new villians, new heros, and more about their life as supers. this is interresting because we learn a little bit more of what decker does (is it dicker or decker?) remember that agent guy who erased the baby sitters memories in the first movie? we see more of him in this movie. not alot but enough to know more of what he does.

imagery

this movie had lots of things that were awesome about it. and one of them was imagery. i thought that they kept to the original style of animation but also improved upon the style even further. you can notice dash has freckles and the facial feature are more realistic. i am so proud of how far 3D animation has come in the last 20-30 years.

one thing i thought was great is how they perfected things like buildings, water, and textures. If you watch the movie everything is so detailed even with its cartoony nature. things are stylized but also very detailed. I recommend buying this movie on blue ray or 4k because the movie looks fantastic.

<insert image of edna mode>

one thing i found amazing was the detail in the cloth. look at edna in the image above. the clothes looks lifelike and moves with the fluidity of real clothes. I was very impressed. good job disney!

Humor

the humor in this movie was on point! lots of the movie was a inside joke and I thought that was awesome! we get to hear honey again. remember the "where is my super suite?!" bit from the first movie? haha she does something similar in this one. it made me so happy.

lost of my favorite moments that made me laugh so hard i almost peed myself was this part with jack jack and a raccoon. yup, you read that correctly. a raccoon. once you watch the movie im sure you would agree thats one of the funniest things that happens in the movie.

What I didnt like

the main thing i didnt like about the movie was this scene depicted above. its not the scene story wise its the blinking. if you have a child with epalepsi or you have it yourself, definately be wary of this scene. elastigirl will going after a villian named screensaver. you will know the scene is approching when she arrives to a apartment building and there are alot of satalites on the roof. when she enters an apartment with tech parts and she puts her back to a cage like structure thats when there is alot of blinking. this goes on for a couple minutes so be prepared. disney recently put out a seizer warning for the movie.

Conclusion

So what I thought of it over all is that I think this movie was amazing! this is the first movie ever that i preordered. I loved it that much. I waited so long for this movie and I wasnt disappointed. I give this movie 5 out of 5 stars. to be honest I think this movie was far better than the first and thats a rarity for me. usually i like the original better. this one I like a bit more. of course I love the incredibles the original, I just love what they did for the world.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD

by far my favorite part was when jack jack started beating the crap out of that raccoon. once he watched tv and looked out the window i was like "oh no". this part made me laugh so hard the parents next to me looked at me weird. yes, it was that funny! stop looking at me like that your kid is laughing as hard as i am.

one thing im sad about is that we didnt get to see honey. we always hear her but we never see her. i want to see to talking to frozone at the least. i wonder if she ever was a super. i guess thats a theory for another day!

I honestly thought that the villian was very predictable.

I had a fishy feeling about the sister since she first appeared. but the scene where she is talking to elastigirl, she played the pessamistic side of the conversation and I thought to myself "hmm, she would have plenty of motive to hate supers...maybe she is screen saver." it seemed i was right. however, this type of thing would have went over a kids head.

I also think that it was stupid that her father didnt just go into the safe room since he knew that the supers went underground. or did he forget about that in the heat of the moment? I think it might have been that if not the first thing. I dont blame her but i dont think getting rid of supers will solve the problem that her father wasnt being smart. he knew they were outlawed so therefor the phones wouldnt work. That's just my opinion.

what did you guys think of the movie? Leave your review in the comments!

Thanks for reading!

Should Kida Be An Official Princess?

For 17 years now, Atlantis has touched the hearts and imaginations of Disney fans. One character stood out the most, the princess of Atlantis Kida or Kidagakash. We fans have wanted Kidagakash to become an official Disney Princess. So the question is, should Kida become an official Disney princess? There are a few points I'd like to make to prove my point. Kindness kida in her whole on the screen has been nothing but kind to the Atlantians as well as people outside of her culture. she does everything in her power to protect her people and keep them thriving as a culture. she is the exact description of a princess and the kindness she should have. Brave Same as Merida, she is brave in all of her endeavors. Even in one scene, she kicks some butt when the mercenaries attacked her, she could have died. Independent Just like Merida, Jasmin, Tiana, etc. She is independent and can handle things herself. She is a warrior, a princess, and a survivor. Does she fit the criteria Disney require
